Managing Special Approvals in FlairConnect
Control which special offers go live and when — with full oversight.
📋 Overview
FlairConnect gives you full control over what specials appear in your ads by using an approval workflow. This ensures that promotions are never pushed live without your explicit sign-off — even though Flair automates syncing to Google Ads and GBP.
This guide walks through how the special approval system works, how to assign an approver, and what happens after a special is approved.
✅ When Is Approval Required?
A special approval is required whenever:
A new special is detected on your website
An existing special changes (e.g., from “1 month free” to “2 weeks free”)
A previously removed special is added back to the site
No specials will be published to Google Ads or GBP unless they’ve been explicitly approved.
👤 Step 1: Assign a Special Approver
Only users with access to FlairConnect can be assigned as approvers.
How to assign:
Contact your Customer Success Manager (CSM).
Provide the email address of the person you’d like to assign.
Your CSM will enable approval permissions for that user.
Once added, the approver will start receiving notifications for new or updated specials.
📧 Step 2: Review the Special Approval Email
When a new or updated special is detected, FlairConnect sends an email titled:
“New Special Requires Approval”
The email includes:
The special offer text detected
The associated property name
A secure link to review and approve (or edit) the special
✅ Step 3: Approve or Edit the Special
Click the link in the email
You’ll be taken to the Specials Review page in FlairConnect
Click the three-dot icon to open the editing view
Make any necessary changes
Click Publish to approve and go live
Once published, the special will immediately be synced to:
Google Ads (as a Promotion Extension)
Google Business Profile (as part of GBP content updates)
🔁 What Happens After Approval?
The special remains active until:
It’s removed from your website, or
A new special replaces it
Flair automatically pauses the promotion when the special is removed
If the special changes, Flair will:
Pause the existing promotion
Send a new approval request for the updated offer
🔒 You Stay in Control
No special is ever published without approval
Each new version requires a new approval — even minor edits
All approvals are tracked and versioned for transparency
