How do Google Ads Price Extensions work?

Flair automatically manages Google Ads Price Extensions for your properties. Unlike promotion extensions, you don’t need to manually schedule or configure anything in the Flair UI—price extensions are created and kept up-to-date automatically once Flair is onboarded and connected to your Google Ads account.

🔹 Single-Property Ad Account

If your Google Ads account is set up to advertise one property, here’s how price extensions work:

✅ Created Automatically:
Flair generates a price extension as soon as your property is onboarded.

📌 Applied at the Account Level:
The price extension will appear across all campaigns in the account.

🔁 Real-Time Updates:
Pricing is refreshed every 2–3 hours to ensure the extension reflects your live rates.

🔹 Multi-Property Ad Account

If your Google Ads account advertises multiple properties, Flair intelligently assigns pricing:

🏘️ One Price Extension Per Property:
Each property gets its own price extension, managed independently.

🧠 Campaign Matching Logic:
Flair will only apply a property’s price extension to campaigns that include the property name in the campaign title.
Example: A campaign titled RSA | Oak Place will receive the Oak Place price extension.

🔧 What Can Be Edited in a Price Extension?

Flair creates and updates price extensions according to Google’s rules—but you still have some flexibility:

✅ Editable:

  • Item Description: You can update this to reflect specific marketing language or promotions.

  • Item URL: Customize the landing page for each item if needed.

🚫 Not Editable (Managed by Flair):

  • Headline (i.e., floorplan name or bedroom type)

  • Price

  • Price qualifier (e.g., per month, no units)

  • Currency

⚠️ Note: If you manually change the headline or price in your Google Ads account, Flair will overwrite it during the next sync to ensure consistency with your website.

📏 Google Ads Requirements

Price Extensions must meet the following Google Ads guidelines:

  • Minimum of 3 items ( prices)

  • Maximum of 8 items (prices)

To comply:

  • Flair will display the first 8 floorplans based on your property setup.

  • If you have too many floorplans, we may instead group them as:

    • “1 Bedrooms starting at $1,500”

    • “2 Bedrooms starting at $1,800”, etc.
