Purpose:

This guide explains how to add your Flair lead email address to AppFolio in order to route guest cards and ILS leads directly into Flair. If AppFolio restricts you to one lead delivery email, we offer two setup options.


βœ… Option 1: Add Flair to Guest Card Notification Emails (Preferred)

Use this if your AppFolio setup allows multiple or customizable notification emails.

Step-by-Step Instructions

  1. Access Communication Settings

    • Log in to your AppFolio account.

    • Click your name in the upper-right corner and go to General Settings.

    • Scroll to the Communications section and click Automatic Communication Settings.

  2. Locate Guest Card Notification Settings

    • In the Automatic Communication Settings, find the section for Guest Cards.

    • This is where AppFolio sends notifications for new inquiries or follow-ups.

  3. Add or Update Notification Email

    • Add your Flair lead capture email address:

    • If your system supports it, you may assign emails by portfolio or individual property.

  4. Save Changes

    • Click Save at the bottom to apply your updates.

⚠️ If you don’t see the option to add or edit notification emails, you may need admin access or your company may use a centralized routing address.

πŸ›  Option 2: Vacancy Contact Email Workaround

Use this if AppFolio only allows one vacancy contact email.

This method sets your Flair email as the default recipient for all ILS-generated leads by replacing the current contact email in the vacancy posting settings.

Steps:

  1. Log into your AppFolio account.

  2. Click your name in the top-right corner β†’ Settings

  3. Scroll to Vacancy Posting Contact Settings

  4. Enter your Flair lead capture email address:

  5. Click Save

πŸ”Ž Note: This will replace your existing contact email for incoming leads. Make sure the Flair team is ready to receive and track activity, and keep your leasing team in the loop.

To ensure http://Apartments.com sends full lead details correctly, contact their support team and request:

β€œPlease ensure our account is configured to send True Leads to [your Flair email address].”

This allows Flair to receive all available lead data, including phone numbers and source tracking, without delay.
