How to: Add Flair to receive Facebook Leads

Overview

This guide will help you set up an automatic response system on your Facebook business page that instantly sends prospects a link to fill out your lead capture form. This ensures every potential customer who messages you receives immediate attention and provides their contact information.

Prerequisites

  • Facebook business page (not personal profile)

  • Admin access to your Facebook page

  • Your website contact form URL

Step-by-Step Instructions

Step 1: Access Your Facebook Page Settings

  1. Log into Facebook and navigate to your business page

  2. In the left-hand menu, click "Settings"

  3. From the settings menu, select "Messaging"

Step 2: Enable and Configure Instant Replies

  1. Scroll down to find the "Instant Replies" section

  2. Toggle the switch to ON (it will turn blue when active)

  3. Click the "Change" button to customize your automatic message

  4. In the message box, copy and paste the following template:

Hi! Thanks for reaching out. The fastest way to get in touch with us is by filling this quick form: [your form URL]. I'll get back to you within 24 hours!

  1. Replace [your form URL] with your website contact form URL

  2. Click "Save" to confirm your message

Step 3: Configure Response Settings

  1. Under "Send instant replies to", select "Anyone who messages your Page"

  2. If you want to limit responses to business hours only:

    • Toggle "Only send during business hours" to ON

    • Set your business hours in the fields provided

  3. Click "Save Changes" to finalize your settings

Testing Your Setup

  1. Ask a friend or family member to message your Facebook page from their personal account

  2. Verify they receive the automatic response with your form link

  3. Test the form link to ensure it's working properly

  4. If needed, go back to settings to make adjustments

Important Notes

  • The autoresponder only triggers for first-time conversations with new contacts

  • Existing conversations will not receive the automatic response

  • You can edit or disable the autoresponder anytime by returning to the Messaging settings

  • Monitor your form submissions regularly to ensure you're following up with leads promptly

Troubleshooting

Autoresponder not working?

  • Verify the feature is toggled ON

  • Check that you have the correct admin permissions

  • Ensure your page is published and active

Form link not working?

  • Test the URL in a private browser window

  • Verify your website contact form is functioning properly

  • Check that the URL is complete and correctly formatted
